The summer solstice falls on Sunday 21st June in 2026, and there are few better places to soak up the longest day of the year than our 800 acres of open water and countryside. With daylight stretching deep into the evening, the reservoir turning gold, and the wide skies putting on the best sunset of the summer, it's the perfect time to visit.
Make a weekend of the longest day with our special events and extended hours!
🗓️ Solstice Sunday Schedule (June 21st)
- Site Open: 4:00am – 10:30pm
- Water Access: 4:30am – 9:30pm - Book your paddleboard or canoe
- Open Water Swimming: 6:00pm – 7:30pm (Tow Floats required) - Book your open water swimming session
- Waterfront Café (Pizzas): 5:00pm – 9:00pm
As the evening draws out, follow the waterside walking trails for the golden hour views across the water, and refuel at the Waterfront before the sun finally dips behind the High Weald.
To make the most of the longest day of the year, pitch up at the campsite from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st June and wake up by the water on solstice morning.
