From complete beginners to experienced anglers looking to improve, we have a session to suit you.

Complete Beginner

Half day (3 hours)Ages 12+

Perfect if you have never picked up a fly rod before. You will learn the basics of fly casting, knot tying, and choosing the right fly. By the end of the session you will be fishing independently. After your lesson, you have the option to continue on the bank or take out one of our fishing boats.

Improver Session

Half day (3 hours)Ages 12+, some experience

For anglers who have fished before but want to improve their casting technique, presentation, or fly selection. The instructor will tailor the session to your specific areas for development. After your lesson, you have the option to continue on the bank or take out one of our fishing boats.

About Our Instructor

Our instructor, Robert Goble, knows Bewl Water inside out: the productive bays, the seasonal fly hatches, and the quirks that make this reservoir tick. You’re not getting generic fly fishing tuition; you’re getting knowledge specific to this fishery.
