About This Activity
Bewl Water has over 770 acres of open water to explore by canoe, kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Hire and tuition is provided in partnership with PTP Coaching. Book directly at ptp.org.uk/bewl. Day passes for independent paddlers: £20 (adult), £10 (child 11-18), free (junior 5-10). Paddleboarding memberships are available all year and include 10% off at the Waterfront Café plus 20% off a range of activities: • Stand-Up Paddle Boarding – Adult: £160.00 • Stand-Up Paddle Boarding – Junior: £80.00 • Stand-Up Paddle Boarding – Family: £330.00 The Bewl Canoe Club welcomes paddlers of all ages and experience levels. What to Bring
- Buoyancy aid (50 newtons minimum)
- Leash (for paddleboards)
- Change of clothes

- Shoes that can get wet
Safety Information
If hiring through PTP Coaching, follow their on-site safety briefing. If bringing your own craft: • All paddlers must sign in at the Fishing Lodge before launching to collect their wristband for the day, and sign out on return • Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult • A buoyancy aid of at least 50 newtons must be worn at all times; buoyancy belts are not permitted • Only one person is allowed per paddleboard • For canoeing and kayaking only: you must hold a British Canoeing Paddle Explore Award and paddle in a group of at least two craft • Inflatable kayaks and canoes are not permitted • Public liability insurance is required for independent paddlers; email info@bewlwater.co.uk to arrange • Swimming in the reservoir is strictly prohibited • Emergency number: 07767 375 115
