Walking
12½ miles of scenic walking trails around the reservoir, suitable for all abilities. Dog-friendly with a water station and self-service dog wash.

About This Activity
Bewl Water has 12½ miles of scenic trails around the reservoir, suitable for all abilities, from gentle strolls to longer rambles. The full loop takes around six hours at walking pace. Walking is free; parking charges apply (£4 up to 1 hour, £6.50 up to 4 hours, £8.50 all day). Well-behaved dogs are welcome and can be walked off-lead on most of the trail, but are not allowed in the Nature Reserve or the children's playground. Dogs cannot swim in the reservoir or drink its water. There's a water station and self-service dog wash on-site, and dogs are welcome inside the Waterfront Café. For horse riders, the trails are open to horses from 1st April to 30th October. Paths are quieter midweek and at the start of the day.
