Bewl Water has cracked Easter with bouncy castles, chocolate eggs, a hay maze and more at ‘Big Easter Family Fun Day’

As springtime arrives, Bewl Water and its 800 acres come alive. With the grounds bursting with colour and meadows rich in wildlife, it’s the perfect place for an egg-cellent Easter weekend this April. On Sunday 8, the reservoir welcomes a new event to its annual calendar, ‘Big Easter Family Fun Day’ which promises fun to be had at every turn. Think bouncy castles, an inflatable obstacle course and plenty of sweet treats for the whole gang…

Found on the Kent/Sussex border in Lamberhurst, the reservoir is the biggest in South East England and already has much to recommend it, but this spring promises heaps more and then some at Big Easter Family Fun Day.

Packed full of activities to keep kids and adults busy all day long, visitors will be spoilt for choice as highlights include a classic Easter egg hunt, face painting, a bouncy castle, and an inflatable obstacle course.

Families can also enjoy giant garden games like Connect 4, Quoits, and Buzz Wire and meet Bewl Water’s mascot, Ranger Bear. Drop-in laser tag and soft play sessions will also be available throughout the day.

Best of all, the day is FREE to attend promising families more bang for their buck this Easter, which falls during half-term.

Sunisa Avery, Creative Manager at Bewl Water said:

“Easter is traditionally a time for people to spend some quality time together and what better way to enjoy the weekend than getting outside and relishing some good old-fashioned family fun?”

Alongside family games and activities, there are plenty of treats at the dog-friendly Waterfront Café which announced a new menu this week.

Options include loaded nachos, jacket potato and beef steak burgers alongside ice cream, pastries, and hot drinks.

Big Easter Family Fun Day will start at 10.00 am and parking is available for the whole day for a small charge of £7, giving visitors plenty of time to explore the reservoir where cycle hire, the adventure pirate ship and self-guided walking routes can also be enjoyed.
