Open Water Swimming is one of the fastest growing outdoor water sports in the country, it is largely due to the increase in the number of triathletes but is now starting to include long distance and fitness swimmers who prefer to swim outdoors rather than in a heated swimming pool.
The number of outdoor swimmers (wild swimmers) is now growing as people enjoy the wild side of their sport for recreation or training. There is also an increasing connection between open water swimmers and triathletes as they regularly swim alongside each other at open water swimming sessions taking place around the country. Many people now enjoy taking part in both sports
The open water swimming will take place opposite the main office at Bewl Water, there will be a registration area for people to book in/out of the water and liaise with the open water organiser on the day, and this will all run in conjunction with the Sportsbooker online booking system.
We will only take online bookings, in advance.
There will be three swim sessions per week, 6.00pm Wednesday and Friday evenings and Sunday mornings at 8am staring 1st April 2020.
