Learning to fish could not be easier
Flyfishing Beginner's Courses - £75 per person.
Run by Vernon Chapman AAPGAI (Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors) and GAIA (Game Angling Instructors Association), these full day courses run throughout the season and are are suited to complete beginners as well as those who have little experience and may have reached a ‘wall’ in their progression.
All tackle is provided but course members should dress appropriately for the weather and bring hat and eye protection.
Course participants receive a voucher for one free weekday evening motor boat and one free 4-fish evening permit (total value £30) plus discounts on some tackle purchased from the Fishing Lodge to be used within six weeks of the course date.

Flyfishing Experience Days can be arranged by prior booking with Bewl Water’s own Instructors and include 3 hours instruction plus use of motor boat and fishing tackle for the whole day.
£110.00 for 1 person
£180.00 for 2 people
£210.00 for 3 people
£240.00 for 4 people
Private Tuition can be arranged by prior booking with Bewl Water’s own Instructors £45.00 per hour, reductions for 2 or 3 in party. Junior instruction £20 per hour.

Complete beginner Tim Mockford (above left) spent 3 hours learning to flyfish with instructor Rob Barden during which time Rob helped him catch his first fish. He went out on his own after lunch and netted another seven fish including one which almost hit 4lbs!

JUNIOR COURSES for ages 8 - 15 years
Under 16? Junior courses could put you on the road to stardom - both of these youngsters learnt to flyfish at Bewl and went on to become members of the England Flyfishing Teams.
3 hour Junior Courses from 9am dates tbc include a 10-minute introduction, a trip to the fish farm and over 2 hours tuition with Rob Barden our resifdent qualified instructor. All tackle provided but bring suitable clothing to protect from sun or rain plus sunglasses and hat. Please book in advance with the Fishing Lodge on 01892 890352
